Reports: Dak Prescott to sign big deal with Jordan Brand

After signing a massive contract with the Dallas Cowboys this offseason, quarterback Dak Prescott is inking another big deal, multiple outlets reported.

Prescott will sign a five-year contract with the Jordan Brand and will be the only quarterback on the Nike offshoot’s list of endorsers, as well as the highest-compensated NFL player, ESPN reported.

Financial terms were not disclosed. Prescott had represented Adidas since his rookie season in 2016.

In March, the Cowboys and Prescott agreed to a four-year, $160 million deal with $126 million guaranteed.

Prescott is on the comeback trail after suffering a compound fracture and dislocation of his ankle on Oct. 11 in a game against the New York Giants. He was done for the season, and the Cowboys finished 6-10 and missed the playoffs for the second consecutive year.

A fourth-round draft pick, Prescott has passed for 17,634 yards with 106 touchdowns and 40 interceptions over five seasons with the Cowboys and 69 games (all starts).

Prescott’s best season came in 2019 when he passed for 4,902 yards and 30 TDs, both career bests, but Dallas went just 8-8 that season and did not advance to the playoffs.

The two-time Pro Bowl selection turns 28 next month.

In May, Forbes magazine ranked Prescott as No. 4 on its list of the highest-paid athletes in the world with $107.5 million in total earnings, thanks in large part to a record $66 million signing bonus. The earnings, from May 2020 through April 2021, set a record for NFL players.

He also has endorsement deals with Albertson’s, Anheuser Busch InBev, AT&T, Beats Electronics, Directv, Frito-Lay, Panini and PepsiCo.
