Reports: Rams sign LB Leonard Floyd to 4-year, $64M deal

The Los Angeles Rams and linebacker Leonard Floyd agreed to a four-year, $64 million contract, according multiple media reports on Monday night.

The 28-year-old Floyd is enjoyed a big season in 2020. He racked up a career-best 10 1/2 sacks, forced one fumble and recovered two fumbles in 16 games.

Floyd’s production played a key role in creating a dominant defense for the Rams, who finished 10-6 in the regular season and won a wild-card matchup against the Seattle Seahawks before losing in the NFC divisional round to the Green Bay Packers.

Before joining the Rams last year, Floyd spent four seasons with the Bears. He was Chicago’s first-round pick (No. 9 overall) out of Georgia in 2016.

In 70 career games (all starts), Floyd has 29 sacks, two forced fumbles and five fumble recoveries. He also has three sacks in three career playoff games.
