Thursday Night Props Best Bets

Rob Gronkowski finds the end zone, Nick Foles bounces back after a tough first start, and David Montgomery struggles again. Here are my favorite Thursday Night props and best bets as Tampa Bay visits Chicago as road favorites. Check out hundreds of them at BetRivers right now.

Rob Gronkowski Anytime TD (+160)

This is easily my favorite bet of the night. The Buccaneers lost Tight End O.J Howard for the year with a ruptured Achilles, which means Gronk gets immediate targets for Tampa. It has been a tough start for Gronk, only accumulating nine catches on the season. He he has failed to go over 50 yards in a game this season.

This is a perfect game for him to bounce back. He should be the main target in the red zone for Tom Brady. Tom and Gronk should be able to re capture the chemistry they had in New England. I am expecting the perfect opportunity to get his first TD of the season.

Nick Foles OVER 249.5 passing yards (-112)

Foles had a rough first start with the Bears last week. The Colts were able to disguise their coverages all day, which caused him trouble all afternoon.

Even with his struggles, he was still able to put up 249 yards. He did throw the ball 42 times, however I am expecting a similar style game on Thursday Night. I also think he is due for a big bounce back game. He is at his best when the offense is simplified. With Matt Nagy under a short week, I think he will simplify the offense and incorporate a lot of Play Action and RPO type plays to make him comfortable. I think 249 is way too low, and Foles should have no trouble eclipsing it.

David Montgomery UNDER 49.5 rushing yards (-112)

The number is low for a reason. Montgomery is off to a rough start this season, and it doesn’t get any easier on Thursday Night.

The Buccaneers have been a brick wall in the run game, owning the 2nd best rushing defense thus far. Christian McCaffery ran for 59 yards on 18 carries against the Bucs Week 2, and that is the most the Bucs have given up in a single game. Justin Herbert led the Chargers with 14 rushing yards against the Bucs last week. With the Bucs run defense being so strong, I don’t see Montgomery getting very many touches in this one.
