Titans OT Kendall Lamm tests positive for COVID-19

Tennessee Titans offensive tackle Kendall Lamm announced that he tested positive for COVID-19 on Thursday morning.

Lamm revealed the positive test just hours before the Titans were slated to host the San Francisco 49ers. Tennessee placed him on the COVID-19 list a short time later.

The Titans also announced the activation of standout receiver A.J. Brown and safety Chris Jackson from injured reserve.

Lamm’s absence leaves Tennessee without three offensive linemen. Three-time Pro Bowl left tackle Taylor Lewan (back) and left guard Rodger Saffold (shoulder, COVID-19) were declared out on Wednesday with Saffold also being placed on the COVID-19 list.

“Well family and friends I tested positive for COVID this morning!” Lamm wrote on Instagram. “I know everyone has their own opinion on this as you should but I can tell you it’s very real and with my respiratory issues this will not be fun!”

The 29-year-old Lamm was in line to start in place of Lewan. He has started once this season in 12 appearances in his first season with the Titans.

Lamm has played in 86 games (28 starts) over seven NFL seasons with the Houston Texans (2015-18), Cleveland Browns (2019-20) and Tennessee.

Lewan has started 11 games this season and Saffold has made 13 starts.

Brown, who missed the past three games with a chest injury, has 46 receptions for 615 yards and three touchdowns in 10 games this season. Jackson (foot) also missed three games. He has 31 tackles in nine contests.
