At this point, star wide receiver Dez Bryant and the Dallas Cowboys have reached a crossroads.
The Cowboys say they've offered some nice deals to him. Bryant doesn't sound inclined to accept.
“I just know what I’m going to accept and I know what I’m not going to accept,” Bryant said. “You know, it’s not about the money. It’s not about none of that. I just feel like a little respect should play a factor in that. I love it [here]. I really do. But every day you grow. Let’s see what happens. It’s all about respect. It’s all about respect. I am a very loyal person, but just don’t test my loyalty.”
Bryant has been getting criticized a bit lately through NFL Network.
“I’m not accepting what’s given to me,” Bryant said. “We’ll have to see. If it’s right, it’s right, I’ll sign my name on the dotted line. If it’s not, it’s not. At the end of the day, I want to win. But at the same time, I have a family and that’s what is important. I feel like, hey, I put the work in, I got to give myself some kind of credit.”
What does Cowboys owner Jerry Jones think?
“What we want to do is have an agreement for the rest of Dez’s career,” Jones said.
