The New England Patriots have added some proven special teams help.
The club announced that it has added veteran linebacker Niko Koutouvides, who spent the last two seasons as a member of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
A former standout at Purdue, Koutouvides was a fourth-round draft pick by the Seattle Seahawks in 2004. He spent four seasons there before heading to Denver for a season. He’s only started two games in his long career but he has recorded 101 special teams tackles in 103 games.
