The New England Patriots took a step toward answering some of the problems in their secondary, as the reached an agreement on a three-year deal with safety Steve Gregory, says Mike Reiss of ESPNBoston.com.
Gregory, who visited the Patriots earlier in the week, comes over from the San Diego Chargers.
The Patriots still have Patrick Chung, and were scheduled to have Laron Landry in for a visit. It is uncertain at this point if the Gregory signing will cause the Landry visit to be scuttled.
