Brandon Lloyd's career blossomed with the Denver Broncos under then head coach Josh McDaniels.
When McDaniels was fired and eventually landed in St. Louis as offensive coordinator, the Rams traded for Lloyd during mid-season.
Now that McDaniels has moved on to New England, Lloyd, a free agent, could be on the verge of reuniting with McDaniels a third time, this time with the Patriots.
The Boston Globe reports that the Patriots may be close to deals with both Lloyd and safety Laron Landry,w who has a number of other suitors.
