Denver Broncos quarterback Peyton Manning is expected to return for an 18th season, according to ESPN.
A decision is likely as soon as this week.
Manning is convinced that new coach Gary Kubiak will design a scheme that works for him.
Manning will have a checkup on his surgically repaired neck on March 1.
Manning is guaranted $19 million if he's on the roster on March 9, one day before the start of the league year.
