The Oakland Raiders hired Hall of Fame defensive back Rod Woodson as their assistant secondary coach.

Woodson, 49, had an NFL minority coaching internship last year with the Denver Broncos working under new Raiders coach Jack Del Rio.

Woodson played for the Raiders for two seasons and has coached the Raiders' cornerbacks previously.

The Raiders hired defensive line coach Jethro Franklin, who held the same position with the University of Miami.

The Raiders also hired Sam Anno (defensive assistant), Darryl Eto (assistant strength and conditioning), Joe Gomes (head strength and conditioning), Tim Holt (assistant offensive line), Nick Holz (quality control-offense), Kevin Kijowski (strength and conditioning assistant), Wesley Miller (strength and conditioning assistant), Jake Peetz (senior offensive assistant), Travis Smith (quality control-defense) and Brent Vieselmeyer (assistant linebackers).
