Rams LT Whitworth carted off with knee injury (NFL)

Los Angeles Rams left tackle Andrew Whitworth was carted off with a left knee injury during Sunday’s game against the Seattle Seahawks.

Whitworth lowered his head and put his hands together in a prayerful pose as he was taken toward the locker room. The 38-year-old is in his 15th NFL season, the first 11 of which he spent with the Cincinnati Bengals before joining the Rams in 2017.

The LSU alum has been selected to four Pro Bowls and is a two-time All-Pro. He has started 220 of 224 career games.

Joe Noteboom replaced Whitworth at left tackle. The 25-year-old entered the weekend with 24 career games played, including eight starts.

The Rams’ injury woes continued later in the game as kicker Kai Forbath was listed as questionable to return because of an ankle injury. The announcement came after Forbath missed an extra-point attempt with 6:22 left in the third quarter.
