The arrest of Denver Broncos defensive end Elvis Dumervil in Florida stems from an alleged road rage incident, according to the Denver Post.

The police report says that Dumervil and a friend, Andy Auguste, began honking their horns at a white Impala after that car cut off Dumervil's Land Rover in Miami Beach, Fla. As traffic stopped at a light, Dumervil and Auguste got out of the car and went up to the Impala and raised their shirts to display firearms.

A witness to the incident said the driver of the Impala threw an unidentified object and struck Dumervil's Land Rover while the argument was taking place. A passenger in the Impala yelled at Dumervil and Auguste.

After that, police were called and followed Dumervil's vehicle, making an arrest of both men for assault with a deadly weapon. Police also found a gun in the glove box of Dumervil's vehicle, after the Broncos defensive end said he did not have a weapon in the car.

There is the possibility that no charges will be pursued, says Marty Magid, Dumervil's agent, once the investigation is completed.
