Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger tells the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette that he had a "good talk" with new offensive coordinator Todd Haley.

Roethlisberger said he could not talk football with his new play-caller under the CBA guidelines, so the two men used the conversation as a get-to-know session with each other.

"It was a really good talk," Roethlisberger said. "Unfortunately, we can't talk football right now and that's one of the big things I wanted to talk about.

"So it was just me talking to him, about golf, his family, my family, him having been a ballboy here, just things like that. It was a good start and I felt it was a good step in the right direction."

The dialogue lasted about 10 to 15 minutes and Roethlisberger said he believed it will be the start of a good relationship between the two.
