The New England Patriots signed offensive lineman Marcus Cannon to a two-year, $9 million contract extension that includes a $3.2 million signing b onus, according to a source.
Cannon was in the final year of his rookie deal.
He's started in place of Sebastian Vollmer since Vollmer went pon injured reserve.
Cannon is a former fifth-round draft pick from Texas Christian.
Cannon overcame non-Hodgkin's lymphoma.
