The Washington Redskins have waived safety Bacarri Rambo, according to a league source.

The release of Rambo coincides with the return of Redskins safety Brandon Meriweather.

Meriweather was suspended for the first two games of the NFL season.

He was punished for being a repeat offender as far as illegal hits with his latest helmet-to-helmet shot coming on his preseason hit against Baltimore Ravens wide receiver Torrey Smith.
