Wyoming looked like it might be close to legalized sports betting in early 2020, but a trio of bills all faltered.
House bills 153, 234 and 225 failed in the Wyoming legislature. HB 225 was rejected as it would have yielded online sports betting in Wyoming with a few exceptions (no prop bets on NCAA games and no wagering on colleges based in Wyoming). But that progress gives hope for more Wyoming sports betting legalization pushes to happen in 2021.
Is sports betting legal in Wyoming?
No. As of early 2020, online wagering via overseas operators was the lone option.
Where can I bet at Wyoming sportsbooks?
Nowhere. Wyoming sports bettors may have options cross borders in the near future as both Colorado and Montana are further along the sports betting regulation trail. This may force the state’s hand in reconsidering the legislation and bringing online sportsbooks to Wyoming.
Perhaps this would take the form in the early days with DFS providers such as Draft Kings and FanDuel.
What about mobile sports betting apps in Wyoming?
None to date, although it was envisioned in defeated February 2020 legislation.
