Stan Kroenke could be the full owner of the St. Louis Rams in less than a month.

The NFL has called a special league meeting for Aug. 25 in Atlanta at which point the all-important finance committee is expected to give a complete report on the sale of the organization to all 32 teams. According to Jim Thomas of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch, a vote on Kroenke’s bid to purchase the organization from the family of Georgia Frontiere will take place at this time.

The report states that the finance committee held a conference call last week in which Kroenke’s proposed bid was discussed. The Missouri businessman is also the owner of the NBA’s Denver Nuggets and the NHL’s Colorado Avalanche, complicating matters for Kroenke because of the NFL’s cross-ownership rules. It’s been widely reported that he will likely sell the Nuggets and Avalanche to family members.
