Steven Jackson avoided being in a dangerous area when he departed Christchurch, New Zealand just two days before a massive earthquake rocked the city.
A 6.3-magnitude earthquake shook the city on Tuesday, reportedly killing at least 65 people and leaving more than 100 missing or trapped in rubble. Jackson was vacationing there, according to Jim Thomas of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch, but left on Sunday.
“Just wanted to let everyone know I'm OK," Jackson said on his Twitter account. "God watched over me. I got me out of Christchurch two days ago."
