Ravens place DT Williams on Reserve/COVID-19 list

The Baltimore Ravens placed starting defensive tackle Brandon Williams on the Reserve/COVID-19 list on Saturday.

The 31-year-old veteran will miss Sunday’s game in Philadelphia, and the Ravens have a bye next weekend.

The Reserve/COVID-19 list was created for players who either test positive for the coronavirus or who have been in close contact with an infected person.

Williams has started 93 of his 102 games with Baltimore since the team drafted him in the third round in 2013. He was a Pro Bowl selection in 2018.

Williams has registered 15 tackles in five games this season and has 270 tackles, 28 tackles for loss, 18 quarterback hits, 6.5 sacks and four fumble recoveries for his career.

Justin Ellis is the backup nose tackle for Baltimore. The 29-year-old has played in 74 NFL games (42 starts) with the Ravens (2019-20) and Oakland Raiders (2014-18).
