Dolphins’ Tyreek Hill opts to not address wife’s abuse allegations

Four days after TMZ publicized eight alleged incidents of domestic violence committed by Miami Dolphins wide receiver Tyreek Hill, he said his focus was on football when questioned by reporters about the allegations for the first time Friday.

Hill and his wife, Keeta Vaccaro, are in the middle of a divorce, which spawned the legal documents that serve as the source of Vaccaro’s accusations. Hill and Vaccaro married in November 2023, but reportedly split in April 2025. They have a nine-month-old daughter, Capri.

“My focus right now is just playing ball and spending time with my kids and just doing what I’m best at — providing for my family,” Hill told reporters. “So all the noise, I feel like if you allow that kind of stuff to get in the way of what you’re trying to do, it can only cloud what you’re really trying to get accomplished.”

Meanwhile, Hill’s attorney, Julius B. Collins, responded to TMZ on Monday and declared Vaccaro’s allegations to be a “smear campaign” and “an attempt … to shake Mr. Hill down.”

Vaccaro’s filing claims that Hill’s first incident of domestic violence occurred in January 2024, just two months after their wedding. Hill has a history of being accused of domestic assault. While playing for Oklahoma State in 2014, Hill was charged with felony domestic assault and battery by strangulation. The school booted Hill from its football and track squads when he was charged.

The NFL did not invite Hill to its combine despite his world-class speed. The Kansas City Chiefs used a fifth-round pick on Hill in the 2016 draft and he earned All-Pro honors his rookie year. He returned two punts and one kick for touchdowns, along with six receiving scores and three rushing scores.

A five-time All-Pro now in his 10th season, Hill opened the 2025 campaign with four catches for 40 yards in the Dolphins’ 33-8 road loss to the Indianapolis Colts last Sunday.

Tyreek Hill’s wife alleges domestic violence in divorce filing

The estranged wife of Miami Dolphins wide receiver Tyreek Hill alleges in court filings that she has been the victim of multiple acts of domestic violence, TMZ reported.

The two are in the process of divorcing, and in paperwork Keeta Vaccaro filed on Monday in connection to the case, she said she was the target of eight instances of abuse since they married in late 2023, per TMZ.

The original divorce petition was dated April 8, 2025.

In the court documents, her attorneys detailed several incidents, including a fight that ensued during a discussion about a postnuptial agreement that she said resulted in her being thrown to the floor.

Later in that same month, in January 2004, Vaccaro’s attorneys wrote that in another fight, Hill “violently attacked her, throwing her to the floor, twisting her intimate body parts, ripping her hair out and grabbing anything on her person he could get a hold of,” TMZ reported, citing the documents.

Some of the other incidents occurred when she was pregnant, Vaccaro said.

In a comment to TMZ, Hill’s attorney said the court filing is an attempt by Vaccaro, her mother and legal representation to get more money from Hill.

“These new allegations are further proof that Ms. Vacarro and/or her counsel are set on partaking in a smear campaign in hopes that Mr. Hill will settle and give she and her counsel an unreasonable and unwarranted amount of money,” attorney Julius B. Collins said. “Mr. Hill will not be moved by this and awaits his day in Court to present his evidence.”

The Dolphins had not made a comment as of Tuesday morning.

Hill, 31, led the NFL with 1,799 receiving yards in 2023. But last season was largely a disappointment for Hill, who said his competitive nature got the best of him when the Dolphins shuffled quarterbacks and failed to put a scare — or much of a fight at all — into defenses the way Miami did when Tua Tagovailoa was healthy.

Also fighting through a wrist injury he said was a factor part of the year, Hill ended the season furious and shared a few words he indicated he might like to have back. As a playoff observer, Hill demanded a trade and wondered on multiple occasions and with peak energy whether another team would be better for him.

In July, Hill said he spent the offseason contemplating what he needed to do to improve his contribution to the team.

“I’ve always been a competitor, dog,” Hill said. “In those moments like that, I need to be better as a leader. There’s a ton of little kids that look up to me as a player, as a role model.”

In the season opener on Sunday, a 33-8 win against the Indianapolis Colts, Hill caught four passes for 40 yards.

A five-time All-Pro and eight-time Pro Bowl selection, Hill has 802 receptions for 11,138 yards and 82 TDs in 142 career games with the Kansas City Chiefs (2016-21) and Dolphins.

Texans S Jimmie Ward facing domestic violence civil suit

Houston Texans safety Jimmie Ward is now facing a civil lawsuit in addition to a felony domestic violence charge.

A woman filed suit Wednesday in Harris County (Texas) District Court alleging she was “violently assaulted multiple times, both sexually and physically” by Ward, including in front of their 3-year-old child.

She is seeking damages of more than $20 million and accuses Ward of emotional abuse, financial manipulation, drug use and threats against her life. The lawsuit also accuses him of adultery and “violent, felonious and egregious behavior.”

The woman alleged Ward was “under the influence of methamphetamines, specifically, crystal meth,” when he slapped and choked her before forcing her into a sex act.

Ward, 34, was arrested on June 12 at his home in Magnolia, Texas, and held on a third-degree charge of felony domestic violence.

He has since violated his bond agreement by contacting the woman, per the lawsuit. He also was arrested earlier this month after testing positive for alcohol, another violation of the agreement.

Ward’s criminal case is slated to go to a grand jury on Aug. 31.

He was placed on the Texans’ physically unable to perform list after undergoing offseason foot surgery.

Ward recorded 48 tackles and two interceptions — one returned for a touchdown — in 10 games (all starts) last season. He has totaled 549 tackles, 10 interceptions — three returned for TDs — in 126 career games (99 starts) with the San Francisco 49ers (2014-22) and Texans.

Detroit Lions starting cornerback Cameron Sutton is the subject of an arrest warrant in Hillsborough County, Fla.

The sheriff’s office there said Wednesday he is wanted for aggravated battery-domestic violence and described the Jeep Grand Wagoneer that he was believed to be driving. The public was asked to contact the office if Sutton or the vehicle were spotted.

The Detroit Free Press confirmed this is the same Sutton who plays for the Lions.

Sutton, 29, joined the Lions last season on a three-year, $33 million deal signed in March 2023 after six seasons with the Pittsburgh Steelers, who selected him in the third round of the 2017 NFL Draft.

He started all 17 regular-season games with the Lions, posting 65 tackles, an interception, one forced fumble and six passes defensed. He started the Lions’ three playoff games as well, adding eight tackles and breaking up three passes.

The domestic violence charges against Indianapolis Colts tight end Drew Ogletree were dismissed Tuesday, with prosecutors in Hendricks County, Ind., electing not to proceed.

Judge Stephenie LeMay-Luken dismissed the case with prejudice, meaning it cannot be refiled at a later date.

Ogletree was arrested Dec. 29 and charged with one count of domestic battery resulting in moderate bodily injury and one count of domestic battery committed in the physical presence of a child younger than 16 years old, per arrest records from the Hendricks County Jail.

The charges followed an alleged fight with a woman, who told police at the time that Ogletree “body slammed” her to the ground.

“While preliminary investigations may have led to an arrest, that was only the start of the investigation process,” said a statement issued on behalf of Ogletree. “Law enforcement officials continued their investigation into the facts of this case, and after completing their review of the evidence, the Hendricks County Prosecutor dismissed the case. Andrew has always maintained his innocence and he has been fully exonerated.”

After his arrest, Ogletree was placed on the NFL commissioner’s exempt list, removing him from the roster as the investigation proceeded. He still could face discipline from the league, despite a lack of charges.

He cannot play or practice with the team until he is removed from the list.

Ogletree, 25, spent his entire rookie season in 2022 on injured reserve with a torn ACL. He had nine catches for 147 yards and two touchdowns in 12 games (nine starts) in 2023.

Colts TE Drew Ogletree facing domestic violence charges

Indianapolis Colts tight end Drew Ogletree was arrested on felony charges of domestic violence Friday in Hendricks County, Ind.

“We are aware of the disturbing allegations involving Drew Ogletree,” the Colts said in a statement. “The team takes these matters seriously. We have notified the NFL and are in the process of gathering more information. We will have no further comment at this time.”

Per the Avon (Ind.) police department, Ogletree’s arrest stemmed from an incident on Tuesday evening. Officers were dispatched to a residence to address a domestic disturbance between Ogletree and a woman.

ESPN reported that a probable cause affidavit revealed that the woman was discovered in an upstairs bedroom in pain. The woman told police that the 6-foot-5, 260-pound Ogletree “body slammed” her during an argument. An ambulance was called and the woman was transported to the hospital, police said.

Per the affidavit, Ogletree’s young son was in the home at the time of the alleged altercation. An arrest warrant was issued Thursday and Ogletree turned himself in to the Hendricks County Jail on Friday.

Bills’ Von Miller available to play amid domestic violence probe

Amid an investigation into an alleged domestic violence incident, Buffalo Bills linebacker Von Miller is at the team’s facility this week and available to play Sunday, general manager Brandon Beane said Wednesday.

“We weren’t there. We’re not the investigators,” Beane said of the incident. “We don’t, obviously, you know, we had our conversations with Von and understood what he believes happened and so, from that standpoint we can’t get into it. It’s an open investigation, and so we’ll just, we’ll let the legal process play out, and he’ll participate like normal in practice.”

Beane said the team plans to allow the investigation to play out. He said the team is in “constant communication” with the NFL and plans to follow the league’s lead.

“Anytime it’s an ongoing investigation, if something was uncovered that the commissioner does have that, at any point, if he feels there was something that, hey, this is, this doesn’t look good or something like that, if at any point that, they could,” Beane said. “But with our knowledge of what we have today, we don’t expect that.”

Miller turned himself in to police last Thursday in response to an arrest warrant in a domestic violence case involving his pregnant girlfriend, according to the Glenn Heights Police Department in suburban Dallas.

Miller was booked in DeSoto Tri-City Jail, posted bond and was released, the police department told news outlets.

Officers responded to a “major disturbance call” at the couple’s home in Dallas the morning of Nov. 29. Miller is accused of arguing with a pregnant woman and then assaulting her. The charge of assaulting a pregnant woman is a third-degree felony in Texas.

Police said Miller departed the scene before officers arrived. The alleged victim was treated for minor injuries at the scene, police said.

When asked whether the team would cut Miller if he was found guilty, Beane said, “Let’s just wait and see what happens there from that standpoint, but I think you know us, we’re going to try to do things right.”

The Bills (6-6) had a bye last week. They’re on the road Sunday against the Kansas City Chiefs.

Miller, 34, previously was investigated — but not charged — for domestic violence in 2021 in Parker, Colo.

An eight-time Pro Bowl selection and two-time Super Bowl champion, Miller has two tackles in eight games this season.

Miller has recorded 123.5 sacks in 169 games (161 starts) with the Denver Broncos (2011-19, 2021), Los Angeles Rams (2021) and Bills. He was the MVP of Super Bowl 50.

Report: Arrest warrant issued for Von Miller in domestic violence case

Buffalo Bills outside linebacker Von Miller is facing an arrest in a domestic violence case involving his pregnant girlfriend, Dallas TV station WFAA reported on Thursday morning.

Per WFAA, the police responded to a “major disturbance call” at the couple’s home in Dallas on Wednesday morning. Miller is accused of arguing with a pregnant person and then assaulting her. The charge of assaulting a pregnant woman is a third-degree felony in Texas.

Police said Miller departed the scene before officers arrived. The alleged victim was treated for minor injuries at the scene, police said.

“This morning, we were made aware of an incident involving Von Miller,” the Bills said in a statement. “We are in the process of gathering more information and will have no further comment at this point.”

The Bills are on a bye this week.

Miller, 34, previously was investigated — but not charged — for domestic violence in 2021.

49ers DL Charles Omenihu arrested after alleged domestic incident

San Francisco 49ers defensive lineman Charles Omenihu was arrested on suspicion of misdemeanor domestic violence after police were called to his San Jose, Calif., home.

Omenihu, 25, was booked at the Santa Clara County jail and released after posting bail. He also was served with a restraining order.

San Jose Police officers were summoned to Omenihu’s home on Monday afternoon for a report of domestic violence. A woman then told the responding officers that Omenihu is her boyfriend, and that he “pushed her to the ground during an argument.”

The woman complained of arm pain, however officers stated in the police release that they “did not observe any visible physical injuries.” She declined medical attention.

“We are aware of the matter involving Charles Omenihu and are in the process of gathering further information,” the 49ers said in a statement on Tuesday morning.

The second-seeded 49ers are preparing to play the top-seeded Eagles in Philadelphia in the NFC Championship Game on Sunday.

Omenihu has recorded career-best totals in tackles (20) and sacks (4.5) in 17 games (three starts) this season. He also had two sacks and a forced fumble in San Francisco’s 41-23 win over the Seattle Seahawks in the wild-card round.

Omenihu has totaled 67 tackles, 11.5 sacks and three forced fumbles in 61 career games (10 starts) with the Houston Texans and 49ers. He was selected by the Texans in the fifth round of the 2019 NFL Draft.

Ex-NFL RB Frank Gore charged with simple assault

Former NFL running back Frank Gore is facing a simple assault charge linked to an alleged incident of domestic violence in Atlantic City, N.J.

Police there said Tuesday that officers responded to a call at the Tropicana Atlantic City and found a 28-year-old Miami woman speaking with hotel security. According to a police department news release, the alleged victim “did not exhibit signs of injury” and no complaint was filed at the time.

A police investigation that followed, however, resulted in charges against Gore, the NFL’s No. 3 all-time rusher with 16,000 yards.

Gore, 39, was issued a police summons to answer the charge at a date in the future.

While the police news release didn’t offer any specifics about the alleged assault, TMZ reported Wednesday that court documents said Gore grabbed the woman by the hair and then began “violently dragging her nude person” in a hallway on the 59th floor.

In June, Gore signed a one-day contract with the San Francisco 49ers to retire as a member of the franchise.

Only Pro Football Hall of Famers Emmitt Smith (18,355) and Walter Payton (16,726) have rushed for more yards than Gore.

Gore rushed for 653 yards in 15 games with the New York Jets in 2020, finishing his career with 19,985 yards from scrimmage and 99 total touchdowns in 241 games (218 starts) with the 49ers (2005-14), Indianapolis Colts (2015-17), Miami Dolphins (2018), Buffalo Bills (2019) and Jets.
