Reports: Saints sign K Cade York, not Justin Tucker

Cade York reportedly got the better of Justin Tucker while working out for the New Orleans Saints on Tuesday.

The Saints signed York — a former LSU kicker — to the practice squad, according to multiple media reports. He reportedly will battle practice squad kicker Charlie Smyth for the primary position with the Saints, who are releasing current kicker Blake Grupe, per the NFL Network.

York, 24, has not been on an NFL roster in 2025. He has made 33 of 45 field-goal attempts and 51 of 54 extra-point tries during his career with the Cleveland Browns, Tennessee Titans, New York Giants, Washington Commanders and Cincinnati Bengals.

The workout was the first for Tucker since serving his 10-game suspension for a violation of the league’s personal conduct policy stemming from allegations of sexually inappropriate behavior.

Tucker, a five-time All-Pro and seven-time Pro Bowl selection, was released by the Baltimore Ravens on May 5.

The Saints (2-9) addressed their kicking situation after Grupe missed two field goals during Sunday’s 24-10 loss to the Atlanta Falcons. Grupe, who is 18 for 26 on field-goal tries this season, misfired from 38 and 47 yards before drilling a 33-yard attempt in the fourth quarter.

Reports: Saints to work out Justin Tucker, other kickers

Five-time All-Pro and seven-time Pro Bowler Justin Tucker is among several kickers attending a tryout for the New Orleans Saints, multiple media outlets reported on Monday.

The workout is the first for Tucker since serving his 10-game suspension for a violation of the league’s personal conduct policy stemming from allegations of sexually inappropriate behavior.

Former LSU kicker Cade York also is also expected to try out for New Orleans.

The Saints (2-9) reportedly are looking at kickers after Blake Grupe missed two field goals during Sunday’s 24-10 loss to the Atlanta Falcons. Grupe, who is 18 for 26 on field-goal tries this season, misfired from 38 and 47 yards before drilling a 33-yard attempt in the fourth quarter.

New Orleans coach Kellen Moore said Grupe’s performance was “frustrating” and stressed that the team needs to “go through this full process” to understand how those kicks were missed before making any decisions.

Tucker, 36, was released by the Baltimore Ravens on May 5 amid a sexual misconduct investigation.

Tucker has been accused of engaging in inappropriate behavior with several female massage therapists. Sixteen women have accused him of misconduct at eight high-end spas in the Baltimore area from 2012-16. He has publicly denied the allegations.

Tucker, an undrafted free agent out of Texas in 2012, is coming off the worst of his 13 seasons spent with the Ravens He missed eight of his 30 field-goal attempts as well as two extra points in 2024.

NFL suspends ex-Ravens K Justin Tucker for 10 games

The NFL suspended free agent kicker Justin Tucker without pay for the first 10 games of the 2025 regular season.

The NFL said Thursday that Tucker, who was released by the Baltimore Ravens on May 5 amid a sexual misconduct investigation, violated the league’s personal conduct policy.

Tucker, 35, may serve his suspension while not under contract with a club and will be eligible for reinstatement Nov. 11. If he signs during the offseason, he will be allowed to attend training camp and participate in preseason games.

Tucker has been accused of engaging in inappropriate behavior with several female massage therapists. Sixteen women have accused him of misconduct at eight high-end spas in the Baltimore area from 2012-16. He has publicly denied the allegations.

Tucker, an undrafted free agent out of Texas in 2012, is the NFL’s all-time leader in field-goal accuracy, making 89.1 percent of his kicks.

The seven-time Pro Bowler and five-time All-Pro first teamer is coming off the worst of his 13 seasons spent in Baltimore. He missed eight of his 30 field-goal attempts as well as two extra points in 2024.

The Ravens have moved on after spending a sixth-round pick in the 2025 draft on former Arizona kicker Tyler Loop.

Ravens release K Justin Tucker

The Baltimore Ravens released embattled kicker Justin Tucker, who is coming off the worst season of his career amid a sexual misconduct allegation by the league.

“Sometimes football decisions are incredibly difficult, and this is one of those instances. Considering our current roster, we have made the tough decision to release Justin Tucker,” Ravens executive vice president and general manager Eric DeCosta said in a statement Monday.

“Justin created many significant and unforgettable moments in Ravens history. His reliability, focus, drive, resilience and extraordinary talent made him one of the league’s best kickers for over a decade. We are grateful for Justin’s many contributions while playing for the Ravens. We sincerely wish him and his family the very best in this next chapter of their lives.”

Tucker, 35, is a seven-time Pro Bowler and five-time All-Pro first teamer who is coming off the worst of his 13 seasons, all with the Ravens. His issues go beyond the field, however.

He is accused of engaging in inappropriate behavior with several female massage therapists. Sixteen women have accused Tucker of misconduct at eight high-end spas in the Baltimore area from 2012-16. Tucker has twice publicly denied the allegations.

Team president Sashi Brown had previously said the Ravens would not decide on Tucker’s future with the team until the NFL’s investigation was complete.

However, the Ravens then spent a sixth-round pick in last month’s draft on former Arizona kicker Tyler Loop, making Tucker’s future in Baltimore seem less certain.

Loop kicked for the first time at the team’s facility in Owings Mills, Md., on Sunday, when the Ravens began their rookie minicamp. Tucker was working out and practicing kicking at the Ravens’ facility over the last couple of weeks.

Harbaugh was asked on Sunday how the team will handle the kicker competition between the veteran and the drafted rookie.

“Every decision we make has to be based on football,” Harbaugh said. “There’s a lot of layers to that. You’ve got a rookie kicker and here you took him in the sixth round, early in the sixth round. He’s a talented guy. Just from a football standpoint — salary cap, all the different things that you just take into consideration — whatever we decide to do over the next few weeks will be based on football.”

Baltimore could gain $4.2 million in salary cap space this year, ESPN reported, if Tucker is designated as a post-June 1 cut, which splits $7.5 million in dead money over two seasons.

Tucker, an undrafted free agent out of Texas in 2012, has become the league’s all-time leader in field-goal accuracy, making 89.1 percent of his kicks. But he made a career-low 73.3 percent (22 of 30) last season and was just 11 of 19 from 40 or more yards.

Ravens’ kicker battle ‘based on football,’ John Harbaugh says

The battle at the kicker position will be “based on football,” Baltimore Ravens coach John Harbaugh said on Sunday in light of allegations against incumbent Justin Tucker.

The Ravens spent a sixth-round draft pick last month on former Arizona kicker Tyler Loop. He kicked for the first time at the team’s facility in Owings Mills, Md., on Sunday, when the Ravens began their rookie minicamp.

Tucker has been working out and practicing kicking at the Ravens’ facility over the last couple of weeks. Tucker and Loop could be practicing together on May 27, the start of the team’s offseason training activities.

The Ravens said before the draft that they would not determine Tucker’s status with the team until after the NFL completes its investigation.

“I would just say from a standpoint of the investigation and all that, I mean, we don’t know anything,” Harbaugh said. “We haven’t been given any information, and as it should be. It’s all done the way it’s done. So, we don’t know anything along those lines, so we can’t make any decisions based on that.”

The Ravens selected Loop with the No. 186 overall pick.

Regarded as one of the top kicking prospects in the draft, Loop made 18 of 23 kicks for the Wildcats as a senior, including a school-record 62-yarder against Houston. He also had 53 touchbacks on 56 kickoffs in being named honorable mention All-Big 12.

Ravens draft kicker Tyler Loop amid Justin Tucker controversy

The Baltimore Ravens drafted kicker Tyler Loop in the sixth round of the 2025 NFL Draft on Saturday, potentially signaling a divorce with controversial incumbent kicker Justin Tucker.

The beleaguered Tucker is accused of engaging in inappropriate behavior with several female massage therapists. Sixteen women have accused Tucker of misconduct at eight different high-end spas in the Baltimore area from 2012-16.

When the first of the allegations surfaced in January, the Ravens issued a statement, saying in part, “We are aware of the Baltimore Banner’s story regarding Justin Tucker as well as his response. We take any allegations of this nature seriously and will continue to monitor the situation.”

Tucker has denied the allegations, and though the team hadn’t acknowledging publicly it was preparing to move on, the drafting of another kicker is a clear indication of wanting to go in a different direction.

The Ravens selected Loop, a kicker out of the University of Arizona, in the sixth round and with the No.

Tucker, 35, has been the Ravens’ kicker since Baltimore signed him as undrafted free agent out of the University of Texas in 2012.

In becoming a seven-time Pro Bowler and five-time All-Pro, Tucker has become the league’s all-time leader in field goal accuracy, making 89.1 percent of his kicks. But he made a career-low 73.3 percent (22 of 30) last season and was just 11 of 19 from 40 or more yards.

Ravens’ Justin Tucker, wife address misconduct allegations

Baltimore Ravens kicker Justin Tucker issued another lengthy statement to address allegations that he engaged in inappropriate behavior with massage therapists.

Sixteen women have accused Tucker of misconduct at eight different high-end spas in the Baltimore area from 2012-16.

“I maintain I did not act inappropriately at any point before, during, or after a professional bodywork treatment session, nor have I ever been told I am unwelcome at any massage therapy provider,” Tucker’s statement read to multiple outlets. “These claims are simply not true. Throughout the last four weeks, I have spent countless hours replaying every interaction I have had with bodywork professionals over the last 13 years.

“I can assure whoever is reading this that I have never intended to disrespect anyone, cross any boundary, or make anyone feel uncomfortable in any way whatsoever. It devastates me to know that anyone I have worked with would not have felt respected and valued as a professional, but more importantly as a person, and to anyone who has felt otherwise, I am sorry. I want you to know I am committed to ensuring that everyone I interact with continues to feel that I respect them and care about them as a human being.”

Tucker’s wife, Amanda Bass, also provided a statement to Outkick.com on Wednesday.

“The false allegations against Justin have caused so much hurt to our family. I believe my husband, and I love and support him fully,” she said.

Justin Tucker, 35, moved to the Baltimore region in 2012 when he signed with the Ravens as an undrafted free agent. In 13 seasons with the Ravens, he is a five-time All-Pro and a seven-time Pro Bowl selection.

General manager Eric DeCosta and head coach John Harbaugh termed the allegations “concerning” and “serious” earlier this week at the NFL Scouting Combine. Harbaugh said the Ravens would be “looking at kickers” but described the reasoning for their interest in players at the position as “something we always do.”

The Baltimore Banner began investigating a tip received Jan. 9 regarding the allegations involving Tucker.

Ravens coming to terms with ‘serious’ allegations facing Justin Tucker

INDIANAPOLIS — When the Baltimore Banner reached out to the Ravens to discuss the allegations coming to light against kicker Justin Tucker, head coach John Harbaugh was in disbelief.

Not knowing the full context of the allegations still coming to light, Harbaugh said he didn’t know the breadth of the situation until he read it himself.

Tucker is accused of inappropriate behavior by 16 victims who were massage therapists at eight different high-end spas between 2012 and 2016.

“It’s not what you want to wake up to and read,” Harbaugh said Tuesday at the NFL Scouting Combine before echoing general manager Eric DeCosta’s assessment of a “serious situation, concerning.”

“There’s too many stories like that that make you feel sad, less than great.”

DeCosta said the Ravens are allowing the NFL investigation into the incidents to play out.

“It’s a tough deal,” Harbaugh said. “That is what we’re trying to do is reconcile it.”

Harbaugh called Tucker about two weeks later on a Sunday morning to check on him and talk “more from a family perspective.”

He made it clear that the circumstances impact the team this week.

“We’re looking at kickers,” Harbaugh said. “You look at every position. We would’ve been looking at kickers anyway. Justin’s our kicker but nobody can go forever.”

Tucker’s representatives told The Banner to refer to the kicker’s lengthy social media post on Jan. 30 in which he vehemently denied all allegations. Tucker called the allegations “unequivocally false” in that post.

NFL commissioner Roger Goodell said earlier this month he was “surprised” when he got word of the alleged wrongdoing. He addressed the allegations against Tucker during his press conference ahead of Super Bowl LIX.

“They are obviously serious issues and he is taking that seriously as are we,” Goodell said at the time.

The Ravens said in their previous statement that they “take any allegations of this nature seriously and will continue to monitor the situation.”

Tucker, 35, moved to the Baltimore region in 2012 after the Ravens signed him as an undrafted free agent. In 13 seasons with the team, he is a five-time All-Pro selection, a seven-time Pro Bowl selection and the NFL’s all-time leader in field goal percentage at 89.1.

Report: Seven more accuse Ravens K Justin Tucker of sexual misconduct

Seven more women have come forward in accusing Baltimore Ravens kicker Justin Tucker of inappropriate sexual behavior during massage-therapy sessions, the Baltimore Banner reported on Sunday.

Per the report, the total number of alleged victims reached 16. All of the incidents involving Tucker allegedly took place between 2012 and 2016 at eight different high-end spas in the Baltimore area.

In response to the new allegations, Tucker’s representatives told The Banner to refer to the kicker’s lengthy social media post on Jan. 30 in which he vehemently denied all allegations. Tucker called the allegations “unequivocally false” in that post.

NFL commissioner Roger Goodell addressed the allegations against Tucker during his press conference ahead of Super Bowl LIX.

“They are obviously serious issues and he is taking that seriously as are we,” Goodell said at the time.

Report: 3 more women accuse Ravens K Justin Tucker of misconduct

Three more massage therapists allege Baltimore Ravens kicker Justin Tucker engaged in inappropriate sexual behavior during massage sessions, The Baltimore Banner reported Saturday.

The allegations follow a report published by The Banner on Thursday in which six other women made similar accusations.

Tucker released a statement via social media on Thursday vehemently denying the allegations, and the Ravens said in their own statement that they “take any allegations of this nature seriously and will continue to monitor the situation.”

Following the latest allegations, attorneys for Tucker referred The Banner to his statement from two days ago.

The three massage therapists all worked at the same men’s spa in Baltimore. An attorney for the spa owner told the publication that the owner had not previously heard the allegations against Tucker, 35, despite at least one woman detailing reports she made to management about the kicker.

Each of the encounters with Tucker allegedly took place between 2012 and 2016 at high-end spas in the Baltimore area.

Tucker moved to the region in 2012 after the Ravens signed him as an undrafted free agent. In 13 seasons with the team, he is a five-time All-Pro selection and is the NFL’s all-time leader in field goal percentage at 89.1.

The Banner began investigating a tip received Jan. 9 regarding the allegations in advance of the Thursday report. The first six women who spoke to the news organization were kept anonymous out of their fear that the Ravens or their fans would retaliate.

Among that group, five accused Tucker of requesting that they “massage his pelvic region or inner thighs while he had an erection,” then proceeding to expose his genitals by moving the sheets laid over him. Two claimed that Tucker brushed them with his exposed penis, and three said that he left “a large wet spot” on their massage tables that they “strongly believed to be ejaculate.”

Tucker said it didn’t happen.

“The allegations in The Baltimore Banner article about me are unequivocally false,” Tucker wrote in a lengthy denial.

“Throughout my career as a professional athlete, I have always sought to conduct myself with the utmost professionalism. I have never before been accused of misconduct of any kind, and I have never been accused of acting inappropriately in front of a massage therapist or during a massage therapy session or during other bodywork. I have never received any complaints from a massage therapist, have never been dismissed from a massage therapy or bodywork session, and have never been told that I was not welcome at any spa or other place of business.”
