Report: Eagles LG Landon Dickerson out 1-2 weeks

Eagles left guard Landon Dickerson could miss the next couple of games with an ankle injury sustained in Sunday’s loss to the Denver Broncos, the Philadelphia Inquirer reported Tuesday.

Dickerson, a three-time Pro Bowl selection, faces a short week to get ready for Thursday night’s game at the New York Giants. He will then have extra rest before the Week 7 game at Minnesota on Oct. 19.

Dickerson, 27, had his lower left leg rolled up on during the first quarter of Sunday’s 21-17 setback. He was helped off the field, replaced by Brett Toth and eventually ruled out.

Including five starts this season, Dickerson has started 67 of his 68 games played since Philadelphia drafted him in the second round in 2021.

Among the others listed as “did not practice” on Monday’s estimated injury report, running back Saquon Barkley (knee) is expected to face his old team at MetLife Stadium while tight end Grant Calcaterra (oblique) unlikely is to be ready, per the report.

Eagles Pro Bowl G Landon Dickerson practices ahead of opener vs. Cowboys

Philadelphia Eagles three-time Pro Bowl left guard Landon Dickerson returned to full practice on Tuesday after sitting out Monday because of a back issue.

Eagles coach Nick Sirianni said the back is Dickerson’s only health concern after he missed most of training camp due to an Aug. 10 right knee injury and resulting procedure.

The defending Super Bowl champions host the Dallas Cowboys on Thursday night in the season opener.

Philadelphia’s injury report had only one player not practicing, reserve quarterback Tanner McKee (fractured right thumb), meaning recently acquired Sam Howell likely will be the backup for starter Jalen Hurts.

Defensive tackle Jalen Carter (shoulder), linebacker Josh Uche (groin) and safety Andrew Mukuba (hamstring) were full participants.

Dickerson, 26, went down while blocking on a pass play and remained on the field for several minutes during the Aug. 10 practice. After an MRI, he had a procedure on the meniscus in his right knee.

A second-round pick in 2021, Dickerson has started 62 of 63 regular-season games played for the Eagles. He has also started nine playoff games, including all four last season as Philadelphia won Super Bowl LIX.

He has established himself as an elite interior offensive lineman and collected Pro Bowl accolades each of the last three years. He earned a 79.2 overall Pro Football Focus grade last season, ranking 13th among 136 qualifying guards.

Report: Eagles G Landon Dickerson to have MRI on knee

Philadelphia Eagles left guard Landon Dickerson will have an MRI on his right knee, ESPN reported Monday.

The three-time Pro Bowl selection sustained an undisclosed injury to his right leg during Sunday night’s open practice.

Dickerson, 26, went down while blocking on a pass play and remained on the field for several minutes.

A second-round pick in 2021, Dickerson has started 62 of 63 regular-season games played for the Eagles. He also has started nine playoff games, including all four last season as Philadelphia won Super Bowl LIX

He has established himself as an elite interior offensive lineman. He earned a 79.2 overall Pro Football Focus grade last season, ranking 13th among 136 qualifying guards.

Philadelphia’s initial depth chart listed Kenyon Green as Dickerson’s backup.

The Eagles continue the preseason Saturday at home against the Cleveland Browns. They open the regular season against the visiting Dallas Cowboys on Sept. 4.

Philadelphia Eagles guard Landon Dickerson was carted off the field with a leg injury during Sunday night’s open practice.

Dickerson was listed on the injury report on Saturday with a knee injury. He was not listed on the report on Sunday.

Dickerson was injured on a pass play and remained down on the field for several minutes. He was unable to put any weight on the right leg.

Dickerson was a second-round pick in the 2021 NFL Draft. He is a three-time Pro Bowl selection and has started 62 of 63 games played for the Eagles in his four-year NFL career.

He has quickly established himself as an elite interior offensive lineman. Last season, he earned a 79.2 overall PFF grade, ranking 13th among 136 qualifying guards.

Eagles OG Landon Dickerson says knee surgery likely

Philadelphia Eagles left guard Landon Dickerson, a three-time Pro Bowl selection, said Thursday that his left knee injury likely will require surgery this offseason.

Dickerson, 26, didn’t disclose the exact nature of the injury, which occurred during Philadelphia’s victory over the Washington Commanders in the NFC Championship Game on Jan. 26. He went on to play in the Eagles’ 40-22 win over the Kansas City Chiefs in Super Bowl LIX on Sunday in New Orleans.

The Eagles selected Dickerson in the second round of the 2021 NFL Draft out of Alabama. Dickerson started 13 of the 14 regular-season games he played as a rookie in 2021. He has started 62 of his 63 career regular-season games and all nine playoff games that he has played.

Dickerson was voted to the Pro Bowl the last three seasons.

Eagles C Cam Jurgens game-time decision vs. Commanders

The Eagles will make a decision on the availability of Pro Bowl center Cam Jurgens following pre-game warmups prior to the start of the NFC Championship Game on Sunday in Philadelphia.

Jurgens was listed as questionable to play against the Washington Commanders due to a back injury. He was limited in practice on Friday after sitting out the previous two sessions of the week.

Left guard Landon Dickerson took reps at center this week and would shift to the position should Jurgens be deemed unable to play on Sunday. Should that arise, Tyler Steen would play in the left guard position.

Jurgens, 25, started all 16 games in which he has played this season and 27 of 44 games since being selected by the Eagles in the second round of the 2022 NFL Draft out of Nebraska.

Report: MRI negative for Eagles LG Landon Dickerson (elbow)

An MRI on Philadelphia Eagles left guard Landon Dickerson’s hyperextended right elbow came back negative, the Philadelphia Inquirer reported Tuesday.

Dickerson, a first-time Pro Bowl selection this season, is expected to play in Super Bowl LVII while wearing a brace on his arm, per the report.

The second-year player was injured during the fourth quarter of Sunday’s 31-7 win against the San Francisco 49ers in the NFC championship game.

Dickerson, 24, started all 17 games in the 2022 regular season. He has played in 31 games (30 starts) since being drafted in the second round out of Alabama in 2021.
