Report: Raiders met with San Antonio about relocation

With the Oakland Raiders' lease expiring after this season, the franchise is considering a move to San Antonio, according to a report form the San Antonio Express-News.

Reportedly, Raiders owner Mark Davis and two members of the front office met with various officials in San Antonio to talk about the opportunity of relocation. This would give the state of Texas a third NFL team if the Raiders did in fact move to San Antonio.

Of course, this could just be a way for Oakland to leverage its way into staying where it is with a new and more favorable stadium deal. However, this report indicates San Antonio is in serious consideration.

To move, Davis and the Raiders would need to apply for relocation and get approval from 24 of the 32 NFL owners.

Follow me on Twitter: @JasonHButt
