Buccaneers WR Scotty Miller (toe) activated from IR

Tampa Bay Buccaneers wide receiver Scotty Miller was activated from injured reserve on Tuesday.

Miller had been sidelined with a toe injury suffered in Tampa Bay’s 34-24 loss to the Los Angeles Rams on Sept. 26. He was placed on injured reserve three days later.

Miller had two catches for 11 yards in three games this season for the Buccaneers (7-3), who visit the Indianapolis Colts (6-5) on Sunday.

Miller, 24, caught 33 passes for 501 yards and three touchdowns in 2020. He has 48 receptions for 712 yards and four touchdowns in 29 career games since being selected by Tampa Bay in the sixth round of the 2019 NFL Draft.

Also on Tuesday, Buccaneers waived long snapper Carson Tinker.

Buccaneers WR Scotty Miller lands on IR with turf toe

Tampa Bay Buccaneers wide receiver Scotty Miller was placed on injured reserve with turf toe on Wednesday.

The designation requires the speedy Tampa Bay deep threat to miss at least three weeks before he is eligible to rejoin the team.

Miller, a third-year pro, filled in for Antonio Brown in an extended role in Week 3. With Brown on the reserve/COVID list, Miller was targeted three times at Los Angeles and had two catches for 11 yards in the loss to the Rams last week before his injury.

Miller caught 33 passes for 501 yards and three touchdowns with the Bucs in 2020.

Tyler Johnson and Jaelon Darden would see more playing time at New England on Sunday night if Brown isn’t activated from the COVID list.

On the same day the team announced cornerback Richard Sherman signed a contract, the Buccaneers also opened the 21-day practice window for two players on short-term IR: offensive guard John Molchon and linebacker Cam Gill.
