Reports: Taylor Swift, Travis Kelce to wed at MSG

The NBA Finals may not be the only significant event being held at Madison Square Garden in New York.

The New York Post reported that Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce plan to get married at the legendary arena on the weekend of July 3.

Per the newspaper, Madison Square Garden has no events scheduled from June 29 through July 6. Therefore, MSG would be available should the biggest pop star on the planet and the Kansas City Chiefs star tight end wish to complete their highly publicized “Love Story” in midtown Manhattan.

Swift has performed eight times at Madison Square Garden, the site for Games 3 and 4 of the NBA Finals next week (Game 6, if necessary, would also be there). The Knicks hold a 2-0 lead in the best-of-seven series versus the San Antonio Spurs.

What makes MSG attractive for the wedding, per TMZ, are the lack of windows and underground parking — thereby ensuing privacy for the couple as well as their guests.

Kelce and Swift, both 36, announced their engagement in August. They have been dating since 2023.

Travis Kelce gauging how body feels before deciding future

Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce sounded like a man who has more in the tank in respect to his football career during Wednesday’s episode of his “New Heights” podcast.

“I’ve talked to a few people in the facility already, having the exit meetings and everything, and they know where I stand at least right now,” Kelce told his brother, Jason. “I think there’s a lotta love for the game that’s still there and I don’t think I’ll ever lose that.

“It’s a tough thing to navigate, but at the same time, if my body can heal up and rest up and I can feel confident that I can go out there and give it another 18-, 20-, 21-week run, I think I would do it in a heartbeat. Right now it’s just finding that answer and seeing how the body feels … and kinda when it all settles down.”

When Jason attempted to get the real skinny on his brother’s future plans in football, Travis said the decision wasn’t finalized yet.

The Chiefs’ lackluster 6-11 season ended with a whimper, leading some to wonder if the four-time All-Pro wanted to end his career on that note.

“Every season ends for me, I put my feet up, and I just be a human because I’ve been putting my body through the wringer for the love of it,” Travis Kelce said. “I do enjoy playing football and the physical aspect of it, I think there’s something about feeling the wear and tear of the football season to just f—- getting ready for a game knowing that your body is f—- beat down man.

“… But yeah, I think just being a regular human for a couple weeks, maybe a month or so, and trying to figure out what I’m doing to do next in terms of my future in football.”

Prior to the season, Travis Kelce admitted that he contemplated retirement. He also said his life has changed in some ways since he began dating the biggest pop star on the planet in Taylor Swift, to whom he is now engaged.

Kelce, 36, last month joined Hall of Famer Jerry Rice as the only players in NFL history with at least 12 consecutive seasons producing at least 800 receiving yards.

Kelce led the team in receptions (76), yards (851) and touchdowns (five, tied with Rashee Rice and Hollywood Brown).

The three-time Super Bowl champion and 11-time Pro Bowl selection is the Chiefs’ all-time leader in receptions (1,080), receiving yards (13,002) and touchdown receptions (82).

Report: Travis Kelce, Taylor Swift to wed on June 13

Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce and pop superstar Taylor Swift reportedly are having a June wedding.

The New York Post’s Page Six reported earlier this week that they will tie the knot on June 13 in Watch Hill, R.I.

Swift reportedly “cut a hefty check” to another bride-to-be to secure the date at the Ocean House venue.

Kelce, 36, and Swift, 35, announced their engagement in August. They have been dating since 2023.

Taylor Swift ‘too locked in’ on Chiefs to do Super Bowl halftime

Taylor Swift said she is “too locked in” on fiance Travis Kelce of the Kansas City Chiefs this season to prepare for a Super Bowl halftime show.

Appearing Monday on “The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon,” the pop superstar rejected rumors that she turned down the gig for Super Bowl LX due to a dispute over ownership rights of the performance footage.

“No, no,” Swift said. “Here’s the thing. Jay-Z has always been really good to me. Our teams are really close.”

Jay-Z owns Roc Nation, the entertainment company that chooses the Super Bowl halftime headliner. Bad Bunny will perform at the Feb. 8, 2026 contest at Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, Calif.

Swift, 35, said she never received a formal offer about the Super Bowl gig.

She explained that she will be too busy cheering for Kelce, 36, the 10-time Pro Bowl tight end who has played in five of the last six Super Bowls with the Chiefs — winning three.

“We’re always able to tell him the truth, which is that I am in love with a guy who does that sport on that field,” Swift said. “Like that is violent chess. That is gladiators without swords. That is dangerous. The whole season, I am locked in on what that man is doing on the field.

“Can you imagine if he’s out there every single week, putting his life on the line doing this very dangerous, very high-pressure, high-intensity sport, and I’m like, ‘I wonder what my choreo should be?’ “I’m just too locked in.”

Kelce’s Chiefs dropped to 2-3 on Monday night with a 31-28 road loss to the Jacksonville Jaguars. He caught seven passes for 61 yards and his second touchdown of the season.

Chiefs TE Travis Kelce on engagement: ‘I got one more ring’

Travis Kelce delivered his best voice impression of quarterback Patrick Mahomes and discussed being off the market as an engaged man following a light workout in Sao Paulo before the Chiefs open the season Friday night.

Kelce said his life has changed in some ways since he began dating Taylor Swift.

“I got one more ring from it,” Kelce said, drawing laughter from the atypical press conference audience. “Ever since I’ve been dating Taylor, life has been fun. It’s been exciting. Obviously a lot more eyes and I accept that. But I’m living life, living on a high.”

Mahomes, seated to Kelce’s right, interjected: “It’s a dream.”

Kelce turns 36 next month and returned for the 2025 season after admitting he has contemplated retirement. Partially motivated to have a better season than 2024, Kelce reported to training camp in peak condition for his 12th season, all with the Chiefs.

Asked Thursday in Brazil if this season is the “last dance,” Kelce responded with questions of his own.

“For who? For me?,” Kelce asked. “Man it’s the last one on the contract right now. But I’ll tell you what, I’m feeling young and I’m ready to ride.”

Kelce has 90-plus receptions in seven consecutive seasons and 1,004 catches for 12,151 yards and 77 touchdowns in 175 regular-season games. With 97 career TD receptions, including the playoffs, Kelce is three away from becoming the fourth tight end in NFL history with 100 career touchdown receptions. Pro Football Hall of Famers Antonio Gates (118) and Tony Gonzalez (115) and Rob Gronkowski (107) are the others.

Roger Goodell on Taylor Swift performing at Super Bowl: ‘It’s a maybe’

NFL commissioner Roger Goodell isn’t shying away from the possibility of the biggest pop star on the planet singing on the league’s grandest stage.

Speaking Wednesday on NBC’s “Today,” Goodell welcomed the notion of having Taylor Swift perform the halftime show at Super Bowl LX on Feb. 8 in Santa Clara, Calif.

“We would always love to have Taylor play,” Goodell said. “She is a special, special talent and obviously, she would be welcome at any time.”

When asked if a Swift halftime show already was in the works, Goodell didn’t deny it.

“I can’t tell you anything about that … it’s a maybe,” Goodell said.

Swift, a 14-time Grammy winner, and Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce announced their engagement on Aug. 26 in a joint post on Instagram.

Swift, however, is no stranger to performing at NFL games — just not at a Super Bowl. She sang the national anthem ahead of the Detroit Lions’ Thanksgiving Day game against the visiting Miami Dolphins in 2006, and she also performed at the 2010 season opener between the host New Orleans Saints and Minnesota Vikings.

More recently, Swift has been a regular in attendance at Chiefs games during her relationship with Kelce.

She did attend the past two Super Bowls, however.

Swift celebrated with Kelce after Kansas City defeated the San Francisco 49ers in Super Bowl LVIII in Las Vegas. She also consoled him after the Chiefs fell short in their bid for a three-peat with a setback to the Philadelphia Eagles in Super Bowl LIX in New Orleans in February.

Chiefs’ Travis Kelce kicks off fashion partnership with American Eagle

It’s been quite a couple of days for Travis Kelce.

On Tuesday, the Kansas City Chiefs All-Pro tight end and pop megastar Taylor Swift announced their engagement. And on Wednesday, an ad campaign launched for his new line of clothing, a collaboration with American Eagle and his label, Tru Kolors.

The collection is called AExTK by Travis Kelce and contains more than 90 pieces priced from $14.95 to $179.95. Items range from T-shirts to varsity jackets.

The Tru Kolors website advertises itself as a “lifestyle brand that fuses varsity nostalgia with leisure luxury, capturing the spirit of sport, social connection, and expressive style.”

“I’ve had to keep my excitement about this collab under wraps for nearly a year,” Kelce, 35, said in a statement. “It was an awesome opportunity to team up with an established brand where both sides were excited to truly collaborate on every decision in the design and creative process that brought the ‘AE x TK’ collection to life.”

The ad campaign features athletes including Penn State quarterback Drew Allar, Ohio State wide receiver Jeremiah Smith and Olympic gymnast Suni Lee.

CNBC reported American Eagle stock went up about 5 percent in early trading after the news was announced.

Finally: Travis Kelce, Taylor Swift announce engagement

Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift are taking their highly publicized “Love Story” to the next level.

The Kansas City Chiefs star tight end and the biggest pop star on the planet announced their engagement Tuesday in a five-photo joint post on Instagram.

“Your English teacher and your gym teacher are getting married,” Swift wrote.

The post got more than 10 million likes about an hour after being published.

The five-photo carousel included pictures of Kelce on his knee, the two hugging under an arch of flowers and her huge diamond ring.

The romance reportedly started after the three-time Super Bowl champion called on someone to play Cupid with the 14-time Grammy winner during the summer of 2023. The rumor mill began picking up steam about the potential power couple and was confirmed when she made her first appearance at a Chiefs game.

Soon, Swift became a fixture in luxury suites at Arrowhead Stadium in Kansas City cheering on Kelce, often with his mother by her side. Swift was later seen celebrating on the field with Kelce after his Chiefs recorded a 25-22 win over the San Francisco 49ers in Super Bowl LVIII.

Kelce and Swift are both 35.

Travis Kelce admits he ‘slipped a little bit’ given off-field pursuits

Kansas City Chiefs star tight end Travis Kelce is the first to admit that his past two seasons haven’t been up to par.

His statistics — while impressive — back that up when considering the standard Kelce set in his previous seven Pro Bowl seasons.

As the world knows, Kelce’s life has been in a brighter spotlight given his highly publicized love story with the biggest pop star on the planet — you’ve likely heard of her. Taylor Swift.

Kelce, 35, also has made cameos in movies and television shows and kept busy with other off-field pursuits, such as his “New Heights” podcast with his brother, Jason.

To that respect, the certain future Pro Football Hall of Fame member told GQ that some of that has impacted his play.

“I think it might have slipped a little bit because I did have a little bit more focus in trying to set myself up. And opportunities came up where I was excited to venture into a new world of acting and being an entertainer,” Kelce told the men’s magazine in a cover story released Tuesday.

“I don’t say this as ‘I shouldn’t have done it.’ I’m just saying that my work ethic is such that I have so much pride in how I do things that I never want the product to tail off, and I feel like these past two years haven’t been to my standard.”

Kelce posted seven consecutive 1,000-yard seasons from 2016-22 before falling short of that mark in each of the past two. The four-time first-team All-Pro and 10-time Pro Bowl selection made 97 receptions for 823 yards last season — his lowest yardage total since 2014. He also had just three touchdown catches, down from a career-high 12 in 2022.

“I just have such a motivation to show up this year for my guys,” Kelce said.

Kelce will have that opportunity when the Chiefs open their season at home against the Los Angeles Chargers on Sept. 5.

Chiefs’ Travis Kelce buys stake of aptly named race horse

Maybe Kansas City Chiefs star tight end Travis Kelce decided to buy a share of a race horse because of its name: Swift Delivery.

Kelce, who has won three Super Bowls, began dating music superstar Taylor Swift last summer.

Bloodhorse reported Tuesday that Kelce joined with the Zoldan Family — owners of Phantom Fireworks — to buy a “significant share” of interest in the 3-year-old gelding.

Per the report, Kelce attended the Kentucky Derby in May with the Zoldans.

Kelce’s financial stake in the horse is unknown, but he should be able to afford it. This week, he and his brother, recently retired Philadelphia Eagles center Jason Kelce, signed a three-year deal with Amazon’s Wondery for the rights to their popular podcast — “New Heights With Jason and Travis Kelce” — that reportedly is worth more than $100 million.

Swift Delivery has two wins this summer, including an allowance race July 19 at Woodbine Racetrack in Toronto. Trained by Mark Casse, Swift Delivery is schedule to run his first stakes race on Saturday in the $125,000 Toronto Cup at Woodbine.
