Giants RB Tyrone Tracy Jr. (shoulder) set to return vs. Eagles

New York Giants running back Tyrone Tracy Jr. had no injury designation on Wednesday’s injury report, lining him up for a return in Thursday’s home game against the Philadelphia Eagles.

Tracy, 25, has not played since Week 3 because of a shoulder injury and had been limited in practice this week. He has rushed for 68 yards on 22 carries in three games this season. The second-year back rushed for 839 yards with five TDs as a rookie last season.

New York ruled out three players for Thursday’s game: linebackers Swayze Bozeman (ankle), linebacker Demetrius Flannning-Fowles (hamstring), wide receiver Daruis Slayton (hamstring).

With Tracy out the past two weeks, Giants rookie Cam Skattebo rushed for 138 yards on 40 carries and has 240 yards on 63 carries with two touchdowns this season. He also has 18 receptions for 143 yards.

Giants WR Malik Nabers set to play in Jaxson Dart’s debut

New York Giants wide receiver Malik Nabers will take the field as rookie quarterback Jaxson Dart makes his first NFL start on Sunday against the Los Angeles Chargers in East Rutherford, N.J.

Nabers did not receive an injury designation from the Giants on Friday after he turned in consecutive limited practices. He is dealing with an ailing shoulder.

Nabers, 22, leads New York in receptions (16), receiving yards (251) and receiving touchdowns (two) in three games this season.

He set an NFL rookie-record with 109 catches last season, which also was a franchise mark for the Giants.

Nabers totaled 1,204 yards and seven touchdowns in 15 games (13 starts) last season en route to being named to the Pro Bowl.

The Giants selected Nabers with the sixth overall pick of the 2024 NFL Draft out of LSU.

While Nabers is good to go, the Giants (0-3) ruled out running back Tyrone Tracy Jr. (shoulder), defensive lineman Chauncey Golston (ankle) and kicker Graham Gano (groin).

Defensive lineman Rakeem Nunez-Roches (foot) is listed as doubtful to face the unbeaten Chargers (3-0).

Giants RB Tyrone Tracy exits with right arm injury

Giants running back Tyrone Tracy left the game with a right arm injury on New York’s final possession of the first quarter Sunday night against the Kansas City Chiefs in East Rutherford, N.J.

Tracy touched the ball on the Giants’ first five plays and had seven carries for 29 yards and two receptions for 7 yards when he left the game with trainers helping support his right arm and shoulder.

Tracy caught a swing pass in the left flat near the 50-yard line. Running toward the left sideline, he collided with diving Chiefs defensive back Jaylen Watson and landed out of bounds at the Chiefs’ 46. Tracy immediately grabbed for his right arm.

Tracy entered the game as the Giants’ third-leading rusher behind quarterback Russell Wilson and rookie bulldozer Cam Skattebo with 15 carries for 39 yards.

Giants kicker Graham Gano suffered a groin injury prior to kickoff against Kansas City and is questionable to kick on Sunday night.
