Reports: Free agent Jadeveon Clowney visiting Cowboys

Free agent pass-rusher Jadeveon Clowney is meeting with the Dallas Cowboys, multiple outlets reported Wednesday.

The potential addition of Clowney would come on the heels of the Cowboys acquiring defensive tackle Kenny Clark from the Green Bay Packers as part of the blockbuster trade involving Micah Parsons.

A three-time Pro Bowl selection (2016-18), Clowney was released by the Carolina Panthers in May. The 32-year-old carried a $13.8 million cap hit for 2025.

Clowney, the No. 1 overall pick in the 2014 NFL Draft, recorded 5.5 sacks, 11 quarterback hits and 46 tackles in 14 starts in his only season with Carolina in 2024.

He has 58 sacks, 139 QB hits, 15 forced fumbles, nine fumble recoveries (three for touchdowns) and 409 tackles (108 for loss) in 140 career games (127 starts) with the Houston Texans (2014-18), Seattle Seahawks (2019), Tennessee Titans (2020), Cleveland Browns (2021-22), Baltimore Ravens (2023) and Panthers.

Ohio State to visit White House on April 14

Ohio State head coach Ryan Day told reporters Monday that his team will visit the White House on April 14 to be honored for their national college football championship.

“It’s an honor to be invited. We were formally invited and it’s customary,” Day said. “I remember growing up and watching the national championship teams go to the White House. I always looked at that, like, ‘Man, what an honor that would be.’ So, it’s part of the celebration of our team … Looking forward to getting that all planned out.”

The Buckeyes will be the second team to celebrate a championship at the White House since President Donald Trump was inaugurated for his second term. The Stanley Cup champion Florida Panthers were the first, back on Feb. 3. The Philadelphia Eagles plan to visit the White House on April 28 in recognition of their Super Bowl LIX title.

The Buckeyes won four straight games in the first-ever 12-team College Football Playoff to capture the title. They defeated Notre Dame 34-23 in the championship game after first defeating Tennessee, top-seeded Oregon and Texas.

It was the program’s first national title since 2014.

Vice President JD Vance graduated from Ohio State and was a senator from the state before joining Trump’s ticket.

Report: RB JK Dobbins to visit Chiefs

Free agent running back J.K. Dobbins is scheduled to visit the Kansas City Chiefs on Tuesday, ESPN reported.

Injuries have defined Dobbins’ NFL career since he was selected by the Baltimore Ravens in the second round of the 2020 NFL Draft out of Ohio State.

After rushing for 805 yards and nine touchdowns in his rookie season, Dobbins missed the entire 2021 campaign with a torn ACL. He missed another nine games in 2022 but averaged 5.7 yards per carry.

Dobbins, 25, has played just nine out of a possible 51 regular-season games over the past three seasons. He has rushed for 1,347 yards with 12 touchdowns in 24 career games.

Isiah Pacheco led the Chiefs in carries (205), rushing yards (935) and rushing touchdowns (seven) last season.
