The Houston Texans cut free safety Ed Reed this week and he was signed by the New York Jets, creating a roster spot for outside linebacker Ricky Sapp when he was cut by the Jets.
It essentially operated like a trade.
Sapp is a former Clemson player who played in five games for the Jets with no tackles and four quarterback hits.
The Texans cut running back Ray Graham to create a spot for Sapp.
