The market for running backs was awful slow to develop after DeAngelo Williams got a huge pay day from the Carolina Panthers.

And the trickle-down effect has made it slow going for a lot of guys, including Tiki Barber.

The former New York Giants star, who is attempting to make a comeback after four years away from the game and a failed television career and scandalous public divorce, has received his first look. The Miami Dolphins put Barber through a workout, according to Fox Sports’ Jay Glazer.

But the Dolphins aren’t moving to sign Barber right now, and per the report they want to see how their crop of backs perform. That’s the way it could go for Barber for a while as teams get a handle on what they have and begin to construct emergency lists now that free agency is beginning to settle down.
