Titans' Griffin fined $21,000 for hit on Jets' Hill

Tennessee Titans safety Michael Griffin is appealing the $21,000 fine the NFL levied on him for his block Sunday on New York Jets receiver Stephen Hill.

Griffin turned from defender to blocker on Hill and leveled him following Alterraun Verner's first-quarter interception against Geno Smith. The league, however, took issue with Griffin's hit to the head and neck area, especially after Hill left the game with a concussion and did not return.
