Safety Kenny Vaccaro was released by the Tennessee Titans on Wednesday a day after they released cornerback Malcolm Butler, moves that saved the team more than $14 million.

Releasing Vaccaro saved the Titans $4 million against the 2021 salary cap, and the Butler move saves just over $10 million.

Vaccaro signed in 2018. He spent five previous seasons with the New Orleans Saints.

Butler signed with the Titans as an unrestricted free agent in March 2018.

He posted four interceptions — with nine picks in 41 games — and finished second on the team with 100 tackles.
