For the Cowboys to get into the postseason, it will have to be on the arm of backup quarterback Kyle Orton.
According to a report from ESPN's Adam Schefter, Dallas starting quarterback Tony Romo will miss the remainder of the 2013 season, including the playoffs, with a back injury sustained in Sunday's win over Washington.
The Cowboys face the Eagles next Sunday for the NFC East title and a playoff berth.
This season, Romo's thrown for 3,828 yards, 31 touchdowns and 10 interceptions.
Orton's appeared in two games this season and is 3-5 for 40 yards this season. He's thrown for 14,661 yards, 81 touchdowns and 57 interceptions in his career.
