Well, at least Trent Williams didn’t hit triple digits.
Not when Fairfax County (Va.) officers spotted him blazing down the Dulles Toll Road in June.
According to the Washington Post, the No. 4 pick in the April draft is due in Fairfax County court next week for a reckless driving ticket. Williams was busted June 6 at 1:10 a.m. cruising at 90 mph on the toll road. It’s a 55 mph zone, and anyone who has driven on it often knows it is a place that law enforcement regularly prowls looking for speeders. That’s where Williams being a rookie didn’t help.
Williams was doing his best Sammy Hagar impersonation in a 2010 Porsche. If convicted of reckless driving, which can come when a driver is 20 mph over the speed limit, Williams could have his license suspended for up to six months.
