Week 3 College Football Betting Picks: Badgers, Beavers, Mizzou

Our Week 3 college football betting picks focus on three games, each with a 16.5-point spread in the lead-up to the games. And we like two underdogs to cover those big numbers while siding with Missouri over Boston College in the other.

Check it out.

Alabama Crimson Tide at Wisconsin Badgers (+16.5/50.5)

Alabama easily got past South Florida 42-16 last week, but it wasn’t enough to cover the 30.5-point spread. Jalen Milroe was a offensive machine in the win with a pair of touchdown passes and two TD runs. The Crimson Tide has been far from automatic as road favorites for bettors. They’ve won six straight but with a 3-3 ATS record.

Wisconsin dropped to 0-2 ATS on the season last week after defeating South Dakota 27-13 as 18.5-point favorites. That dropped them to 2-4-1 ATS in their last seven games. The Badgers have been a sold bet when listed as underdogs at home with four straight wins ATS and a 7-2 ATS mark in their last nine.

Pick: Wisconsin +16.5

Boston College Eagles at Missouri Tigers (-16.5/54)

Boston College leapt into the Top 25 following last week’s 56-0 shutout of Duquesne as 35.5-point favorites. Thomas Castellano was nearly perfect while completing 9-of-10 passes for 234 yards with four touchdowns. The Eagles have been strong on the road lately at 4-1 SU and ATS in their last five, and they’ve won their last two games as an underdog.

Missouri is also coming off a shutout after defeating Buffalo 38-0 as 32.5-point favorites last week. The Tigers have been a money-maker for bettors with an 8-1 ATS mark in their last nine games, and when favored they’re 6-1 ATS in their last seven.

Pick: Missouri -16.5

Oregon Ducks at Oregon State Beavers (+16.5/50)

Interstate rivals meet up when the Ducks visit the Beavers this weekend. The Ducks may be 2-0 this season, but they’re 0-2 ATS for bettors after a last-second 37-34 win over Boise State as 17.5-point favorites last week.

The Ducks are a disappointing 3-4 ATS in their last seven, but as road favorites they been automatic for bettors with seven straight wins ATS.

The Beavers looked good last week in a 21-0 shutout of South Dakota to post their first ATS win of the season. The defense limited South Dakota to 109 yards in the win. The Beavers are a solid 6-2 ATS in their last eight as home underdogs, and they’ve been a strong foil to the Ducks at home going 3-1 SU and ATS in their last four.

Pick: Oregon State +16.5
