The Vikings and Minnesota State University-Mankato have agreed to delay a decision whether or not the team will head there for training camp this summer.
The Vikings did have a deadline of today to inform the school if it intended to show up for training camp. The team announced ongoing negotiations for a new collective bargaining agreement have provided reason to postpone such an announcement.
The Vikings hope to continue training in Mankato in a short matter of time provided a labor deal gets done. The Baltimore Ravens, New York Giants and New York Jets have already scrapped plans to go away for training camp. Labor uncertainty was at least partially responsible for the St. Louis Rams deciding to hold camp at their year-round facility.
