NFL Hall of Fame defensive tackle and analyst Warren Sapp's contract was terminated and he no longer works for NFL Network after being charged with misdemeanor counts of soliciting prositution and assault, according to NFL Network vice president of communications Alex Riethmiller.
Once Sapp was formally charged, the Network terminated Sapp's employement after initially waiting for the outcome of a police investigation in Arizona.
Sapp had been an analyst at NFL Network since 2008.
Sapp was transported to the Maricopa County Jail and booked on charges of soliciting prostitution and two counts of assault.
Sapp, 42, was taken into custody at the Renaissance Hotel in downtown Phoenix early Monday morning.
According to police, Sapp met two women at the lobby of the hotel and then went up to his hotel room and began discussing money prior to a physical altercation and argument unfolding.
Suggs admitted the solicitation allegations, denying assaulting the women, who have sustained minor injuries.
