The New England Patriots cut defensive tackle Dominique Easley, a former first-round draft pick from Florida. Easley is facing a lawsuit from Wiley Brown in Palm Beach County, pending litigation filed Jan. 8 for an alleged dog bite and attack from Easley's dog on April, 25, 2015, according to court records from the Circuit Court of Palm Beach County. The lawsuit seeks over $15,000 and alleges Easley was "negligent in failing to restrain his dog, failing to leash the dog and-or keep the dog restrained and negligent in failing to keep a dangerous dog from biting plaintiff." The lawsuit alleges Brown "suffered bodily injury, pain and suffering, disability, disfigurement, scarring, mental anguish, medical bills, loss of enjoyment of life, all of said injures are permanent within a reasonable degree of medical probability." Easley injured his quadriceps against the Houston Texans last season in December. In college, he tore both of his anterior cruciate ligaments. Easley had ability, but was rarely healthy for long.
