Former Baltimore Ravens running back Ray Rice spoke to the Ravens' rookies this week as part of their player engagement program. Rice has been out of the NFL for the past two seasons since a domestic violence incident involving his wife. "[Rice] delivered an important message that included his story, both the good and the bad," the Ravens said in a statement. "He clearly had the attention of our rookies." A three-time Pro Bowl selectiRice was cut in September 2014 after a video surfaced of Rice punching his then-fiancee, Janay, at the Revel Casino earlier that year. Rice reached a $1.588 million settlement with the AFC North club after filing a wrongful termination grievance. In March 2015, Rice received $1.588 million from the Ravens as part of a settlement in his wrongful-termination grievance. A former Rutgers standout and second-round draft pick, Rice has repeatedly apologized for his actions. Rice and his wife, Janay, have a daughter, Rayven, and are expecting a son this fall. "We hope that Ray will continue to work to be the best husband, father and person he can be, and he will turn this awful situation into something positive,"  owner Steve Bisciotti wrote in a 2014 letter to fans.
