Redskins sign Jordan Reed to five-year, $40 million contract extension

The Washington Redskins signed tight end Jordan Reed to a five-year contract extension worth almost $50 million. The deal includes $22 million guaranteed, according to a league source. Reed, 25, caught a career-high 87 passes for 952 yards and 11 touchdowns last season. Reed played collegiately at the University of Florida.
