Texas Tech WR-KR Jakeem Grant visiting Dolphins on Monday

Texas Tech wide receiver and kick returner Jakeem Grant is visiting the Miami Dolphins on Monday following his visit last week with the Houston Texans, according to a source not authorized to speak publicly. Grant has worked out for the New York Jets, Dolphins and Indianapolis Colts. Grant is an explosive return specialist at 5-6, 165 pounds who returned four kicks for touchdowns in his career for the Red Raiders. Grant caught 90 passes for 1,268 yards and 10 touchdowns last season. Grant ran the 40-yard dash in 4.38 seconds with a 36 1/2 inch vertical leap with a 9-9 broad jump, a 4.06 short shuttle, a 7.01 three-cone drill and bench pressed 225 pounds 15 times. Grant had a strong performance against LSU in the Texas Bowl, catching 10 passes for 125 yards and three touchdowns. He caught a 46-yard pass against cornerback Tre'Davious White.
