Bills hire Pepper Johnson, Fred Pagac
The Buffalo Bills hired Pepper Johnson as their defensive line coach and Fred Pagac as their linebackers coach.
A five-time Super Bowl champion, Johnson will enter his 15th year coaching in the NFL next season. Johnson has spent the past 14 seasons working for the New England Patriots, serving in a variety of roles including eight seasons as defensive line coach. During his 13-year playing career, Johnson was a part of two championship teams and has been a member of three championship teams since joining New England.
As the Patriots’ defensive line coach, Johnson helped Vince Wilfork emerge as one of the premier defensive tackles in the NFL.
In 2012, Johnson made the switch from coaching the Patriots’ defensive line to linebackers.
Pagac spent the past eight seasons with the Minnesota Vikings. During his time with the Vikings, Pagac helped lead the Vikings’ defense to four top 10 finishes in total defense including three straight top 10 finishes from 2008 to 2010.
While with Minnesota, Pagac spent seven seasons as linebackers coach and one season as defensive coordinator
