Packers give Eliot Wolf a promotion

Eliot Wolf, the son of former Green Bay Packers general manager Ron Wolf, has gotten a promotion within the organization.

The team announced that Wolf, 29, is now the assistant director of player personnel. He has been with the franchise since 2004 and in his most recent post he served as the assistant director of pro personnel. The slight change in his title reflects the involvement he will also have in the draft process and scouting of college players.

“Eliot is an important part of our personnel staff,” general manager Ted Thompson said in a statement released by the team. “Over the years, his responsibilities and duties have continued to grow. His contributions to our efforts in pro scouting have been tremendous, and he has taken on more in the college scouting and draft preparations. We believe this adjustment is an appropriate recognition of his continued growth within our personnel group.”
