The Indianapolis Colts were awarded outside linebacker Shaun Phillips off waivers from the Tennessee Titans and cut outside linebacker Victor Butler.
Phillips has recorded 554 career tackles, 81 1/2 sacks, 22 forced fumbles and seven interceptions.
Phillips played the first nine seasons (2004-2012) of his career with the San Diego Chargers, followed by the Denver Broncos and Titans. In 2009, he led the NFL with a career-high seven forced fumbles.
He was named to the Pro Bowl the following season when he had 11 sacks.
