49ers activate Kendall Hunter

The San Francisco 49ers activated running back Kendall Hunter from the physically unable to perform list, the team announced.

This marks a sound recovery from Hunter tearing his Achilles tendon last season.

Last season, the former Oklahoma State standout rushed for 371 yards as a reserve behind veteran Frank Gore.

The 49ers have options at running back with Hunter and Gore in addition to former Oregon star LaMichael James.
