Crimson Tide land offensive gem over Tigers. Dave Miller
The next Iron Bowl may not be scheduled until November 2012, but there are plenty of reasons for Alabama and Auburn fans to mix things up on football recruiting message boards.
The latest topic of conversation is sure to be the decommitment of Daphne High School (Daphne, AL) star running back T.J. Yeldon from the Tigers to the Crimson Tide on Sunday.
Yeldon rushed for 2,196 yards on 231 carries (9.5 yards per carry) and scored 32 touchdowns this year in his senior season and is one of the top-ranked running backs in the Class of 2012.
The 6-2, 210-pounder had committed to Auburn this past summer, but he will now enroll at 'Bama in January. With Trent Richardson likely going pro, Eddie Lacy will likely lead a rotation of backs next season. And with Class of 2011 top recruit Dee Hart and 2012 tailback commitment Justin Taylor both recovering from ACL injuries, Yeldon could be positioned to see action early.
