Baltimore might cut ties with Terrell Suggs

Baltimore General Manager Ozzie Newsome raised the possibility of linebacker/defensive end Terrell Suggs might not return to the Ravens next season because Suggs has a $12.4 million salary cap figure. Suggs’ contract includes a base salary of $7.8 million. Suggs, 31, has 94.5 sacks in his 11-year career and had 10 last season.

However, Suggs had only one sack over his final eight games. Suggs has talked about wanting a contract extension this offseason. However, Newsome said the team would have to make a decision that could include letting go of Suggs.

“That’s a decision we’ll talk about. Terrell is a real good football player,” Newsome said.
