Bengals worked out punter Zoltan Mesko

The Cincinnati Bengals tried out former Pittsburgh Steelers and New England Patriots punter Zoltan Mesko on Wednesday, according to a league source.

The Bengals wound up signing punter T.J. Conley, though.

Mesko was with the Steelers last season before he was replaced by veteran punter Mat McBriar.

Mesko had a stint with the Bengals late last season.

A former Patriots fifth-round draft pick from Michigan, Mesko has a career punting average of 43.9 yards.
