Bowers' conditioning still a concern

Tampa Bay Bucs coach Greg Schiano wants defensvie end Da'Quan Bowers to get in better shape so he can play more snaps, says the Tampa Bay Times.

Bowers, a second-round pick, is currently listed on the depth chart as the starter at left defensive end, but unless he gets in better shape, that might not continue to be the case.

"I'm still a little winded at times," Bowers said. "I'm still not in the best shape. I'm still getting used to the speed of practice. But other than that, (camp) has been decent."

Getting into better shape will allow Bowers to become he every-down defensive end the Buccaneers need him to be.

"It's certainly not anything personal. We both want the same thing. He wants to be an every-down player, and we need an every-down defensive end. We're just trying to get there," Schiano said.
