Chad Johnson catches one pass in first CFL game

Former Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver Chad Johnson made his Canadian Football League debut Friday night.

The former Pro Bowl wide receiver caught one pass for 13 yards during his first preseason game. He was targeted three times by quarterback Troy Smith, a Heisman Trophy winner from Ohio State who played for the Baltimore Ravens and San Francisco 49ers.

Johnson hadn't played in a football game since the preseason of 2012 when he was with the Miami Dolphins before being released after an arrest for domestic violence.

“It’s similar to the feeling before I lost my virginity," Johnson told the Montreal Gazette before kickoff. "There’s a certain level of excitement, anticipation, not knowing what’s going to happen or what I’m going to get."
