Chiefs lock up top overall pick Eric Fisher
The Kansas City Chiefs have hammered out a five-year contract with top overall pick Eric Fisher.
The former Central Michigan offensive tackle is on his way to training camp and is expected to be there in time to practice this afternoon.
Fisher emerged as the Chiefs' guy during the draft process as he continued to excel at every stage of the evaluations.
They drafted him instead of Texas A&M offensive tackle Luke Joeckel.
Fisher won't play left tackle where he lined up in college.
With franchise player Branden Albert set at left tackle, Fisher will start at right tackle as he starts his NFL career.
